We rely on complex digital systems and software to deliver the future of movement. That makes data and network security vital. Cyber Security is a fast-paced and dynamic area of the automotive industry, and within this team you’ll have the opportunity to work and learn from our experts in one of the most advanced automotive environments in the world. It doesn’t get much better than that.
As an apprentice you will be part of our Engineering team, supporting the development of our Autonomous, Connected, Electric and Shared future vehicles to ensure we are robust and equipped for emerging security threats, as well as supporting upcoming legislation and standards.
GCSE Maths and English Language at level 5 or higher and in addition a further 3 GCSEs at level 5 or higher to include one STEM subject.
A level Maths grade C or higher and an additional A level in Physics, Chemistry, Design & Technology, ICT, Computer Science, Economics or Engineering at grade C or higher.

If you progress to the next stage we’ll ask you to complete a series of short online tests which you will complete independently. Passing this stage is based on your scores from completing your online assessments. Don’t forget to use the practice area to help you prepare. Click here to enter the practice test area.
The next stage is the virtual assessment centre. This consists of a presentation exercise and behavioural interview. You’ll be provided with a preparation guide to help you at this final stage.
We’ll share the outcome of your assessment centre within 2 weeks of you completing it. If you are successful, we’ll make you a verbal offer and confirm this in writing via email.
Before you join JLR, we’ll give you all the information you need through post-offer engagement events, online platforms and more. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, we’re here every step of the way.

Develop the skills, knowledge and practical experience across your four-year programme to unlock your career - your future is what you make of it!
You’ll start with your corporate and local inductions into JLR in September 2025. Then, you’ll receive an overview of our business and future strategic direction, network with other joiners and key stakeholders, including our DI networks, and experience our exciting work environment.
You’ll also have an induction at the University of Warwick to learn more about your degree programmes and timetable of study.
As well as working in key teams at JLR, you will study for a BSc in Digital and Technology Solutions (DTS) with the prestigious University of Warwick (Warwick Manufacturing Group).
Throughout the first three years of your apprenticeship, you will study core modules delivered through a combination of block teaching weeks, online study and independent learning. In the fourth year of your apprenticeship, you will complete a work-based project which will form part of your end point assessment (EPA). You will be able to apply the learning you acquire through your studies directly to your role at JLR. Throughout your time on the programme, you will be supported by the Apprenticeship Delivery team, university staff and your line manager.

Develop experiences which will provide you with real-life industry insights to support you in the completion of your degree. Excel and you will be offered a substantive role with us.
During the final months of your apprenticeship, you will undertake an End Point Assessment (EPA) which is aligned to your apprenticeship standard. The EPA is an independent assessment of the knowledge, skills and behaviours that you have developed throughout your time on the apprenticeship.
