There's no need to choose between education and practical skills because our Advanced Apprenticeship gives you both. You can broaden your mind with brand-new concepts at your training provider and put them into action here at JLR. One day, you'll be learning about the latest technologies in your field, and the next you'll be interacting with them – propelling your experiences beyond where peers on other programmes.
And while we open your horizons to the future of automotive technology, we’ll also enable you to complete a level 3 apprenticeship and qualification/s relevant to your apprentice programme. You will spend your first year with your education training provider, working at JLR alongside members of our skilled teams.
You’ll learn how to always work and make a technical contribution to either the design, development, quality assurance, manufacture, installation, commissioning, decommissioning, operation or maintenance of our products or equipment.
Applications open: 10 February 2025
Applications close: 3 March 2025
Manufacturing is at the heart of the Industrial Operations chapter here at JLR. Our Industrial Operations function incorporates all teams across Manufacturing, Procurement and Supply Chain, and consolidates accountability for the complete ecosystem of how we produce our vehicles, in one place. Manufacturing create thousands of vehicles every day at our production facilities, and you’ll have the opportunity to influence the future of how our vehicles are made.
You’ll develop your understanding of manufacturing principles and could get involved in activities such as preventive or reactive maintenance across our technology areas, vehicle inspections and repairs or building your understanding of core measurement principles and practices, performing measurement tasks using tools, and engaging with engineers who use the data to make adjustments. But whichever team you join you’ll learn to operate safely at all times and develop your problem-solving skills.
Within the West Midlands you could join us in our Solihull Plant, Site Services or Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC) team. We also have roles available based in our Halewood team based in Liverpool.
Working within Manufacturing you could join us following the Maintenance Technician, Engineering and Manufacturing Technician or Toolmaker apprenticeship standard. Please visit the role profiles to review more details on the apprenticeship standards and role requirements.
